Sidi Shoe Fit

Looking for a Dominator MTB shoe. I ordered two sizes based on the size of my Genius shoes. I had assumed the lasts would be the same, but they don’t feel like it. All shoes are Mega.
Question: are half sizes the same length but a wider toe box (as I recall someone saying)?

I don’t think so. Just went through crazy shoe shopping with competitive cyclist - they came out on the downside with that one....

I have a pair of sidi's in size 42 and a pair in 42 1/2 of the same shoe and I can not tell a difference at all.
