Hoping a Paceliner with experience with the Serotta Csi might know the bottom bracket drop?

I always thought it was 80mm but I noticed in a 2000-01 catalog they have it listed as 70mm. All the other dimensions for angles and tube lengths seem unchanged over the years ... jus wondering if the raised the bb near the end of production.

Check the serial number on the bottom bracket. If it starts with a C in a 3-digit prefix, example CXX, it’s a custom and could have a different B.B. drop.

In the older catalogs they list BB height as 27 cm. If you measure to the axle center of a wheel with a 23 mm tire you will get pretty close to 34 cm. Perhaps there were some years with more drop, but I think 7 cm is pretty common.

I wonder where the 8 cm drop “standard” came from. The older geo charts show 7 cm, and then the catalogs stop showing bb drop in geo charts right around when the CSi was introduced. Perhaps Dave Kirk or someone else who was there will see this and chime it. I’ve always associated the lower drop as part of Kelly Bedford’s influence in his time at Serotta.

I left the company in 1999 so have zero personal knowledge of what geometry was in 2002.

That said I have a 2002 catalog and here's the geometry page. I hope it's helpful.
