Love it. '94 Vuelta?

Which photo is the more current build?
.

The one w/ the Flite though now it has vittoria tires and an ITM Eclypse stem. I managed to destroy the threads on another 3t beautifull stem.
I basically have the same parts on the bike since yr 2000.

I believe the frame is 97.

I have power torque centaur 10sp shifters now. These Daytona on the pics stopped working well.

My 1987 Schwinn Paramount, serial #1 for the year. Fresh repaint by Waterford with some tasty "upgrades". 19 lbs even as in the pic.

Jeez Paredown, it's been months in the builds page, and still no decision on bar tape?

As I said before, nice build; I remain bullish on triples.

I know, right.

I was really unable to get much done around the house this spring, so now that I'm feeling better, I'm tearing around like a crazy person.

I did get the chain changed on the Look yesterday--shifts mo' better.:)

Yes, it's called the "Wall Street Jersey," when you're in just too much of a damn hurry to get on the bike.

I've got no pictures but I used to run a 'Little Yellow bike' it was built with 753 top & down tubes, 531Pro fork, stays and stem with an SLX seat tube. I went with Yellow because I could be spotted in the bunch on the road & track. I've got a picture of the blue version.

so how exact do couplers need to be?

Could one have two bikes of the same factory sized bikes in different colors and cut them both in half and then use either half with the others?

Oh boy, I can see the email tomorrow:
"Dear Mr. Tommasini,
Hi, I have a special request...."

:D

I don't see why not, though, assuming the two frames both used the same tubeset specs, right?
.

Ha nah im keeping this one intact for now, its really looking splendid i must say (its in the corner of my eye as i type this).

Yeah i guess should be doable in theory but as i have no experience with couplers i dont know how exact the process is or how easy its duplicated on another frame but i soppose you are right

Welll... if you can´t decide which color to go, this is one way to deal w/ the issue.

Beautifull build. Black stem is perfect there.Thanks. That's a Zeus group BTW. I wasn't big on the black stem but the price was great for a pantographed one so I jumped on it. It is period correct - the pic below is from 1984. Europ-Decor became Lotto in 1985 and rode the same yellow EMs, though I can't find a good enough pic to tell if the '85 bikes had the font that my bike does or that of the '84 bikes....I suspect it was the latter.

That´s just my favourite color scheme and i would like to have a custom made in that color scheme.
Love black quill stems and they are hard to find. it looks so good against the silver and chrome everywhere on the bike. Fignon, Indurain, Lemond´s bikes had black quill stems

My first "big boy" bike when I was 10 years old was a new 1971 Schwinn Varsity Sport in yellow. Looked just like the OP's bike...from a distance. If you squinted.

Wouldn't say it is a yellow bike, however yellow is the predominant colour next to the neutral silver and black.

I´ve been saying this forever: forget silver Potenza and build vintage steel w/ blacked out campagnolo.
I would have a white saddle/ white bar tape on this bike and take the whole thing to outer space.

Black or carbon anything looks a million times better than the lame plasticy silver Potenza and Centaur that are out right now, especially when matched with a black headset, quill stem, and 26.0/26.4 bars.

I have had my neo-retro steel Merckx built up with both Shimano 6800/5800 and carbon Record 10.
