Any recommendations on shorts I can wear for crossfit? My running shorts are too short. I've gone down the "wear compression shorts under soccer shorts" route, which is fine too but I'd like a lined short that doesn't look baggy and also offers range of motion (squats, box jumps, etc).

For the sake of discussion, let's pretend price isn't a factor (even though it is).

Thank you!

Nike makes longer running shorts with an insert. Very comfortable for this type of thing.

I wear mid-length board shorts with a cut up on the outer leg seam from Hurley or RVCA or lots of other brands.

Or Lululemon 7 inch Surge shorts when they can be found on the clearance rack.

I have used Soffee MMA Shorts in the past. They are inexpensive but the Velcro wears out quickly and the material is slightly heavier than I like.

I thought anything but Reebok was forbidden in Crossfit?

Also whatever everyone else at the gym wears?

I find running shorts fit the bill nicely. My favorites are a pair of Lululemon Surge liner shorts.

Lululemon.

Go to a shop if you can.

I have a couple pairs of C9 gym shorts from Target that I use for Crossfit, and they were under $20. They're cut slim, not too long or short, and soft on the skin. I actually wear them more often than my Nike or Under Armour shorts that cost three times as much.

I don't go to Crossfit boxes, but do frequent other gyms. For those I just wear old cycling shorts with worn-out chamois, mostly because I nearly always spend at least some time on the C2 rowers. But even if I know I'm not going to row I still wear cycling shorts.

patagonia has some running shorts with built in spandex or some lulu lemon shorts
