Headsets and BBs are confounding.

Is it possible to use an inset headset on my Ottrott (GS)? Using the Chris King headset finder I think the answer is no but because it requires the measure of the inner or outer diameter of the head tube and I don't have a caliper, I'm unsure.

Thanks

Ottrott have 1-1/8" headtubes and will only take an external HS.

You might want to check out the Cane Creek Slamset headset.

The slamset is only for 44 mm ID headtubes or IS41 and IS42 uppers

The Slamset only works on frames designed for integrated headsets - which I'm pretty sure the Ottrot is not.

For standard (external) bearing head tubes, there is only 2.7 mm between the steerer tube and the inside walls of the head tube - this is not enough room for any type of internal bearing, so inset headsets won't work.

Perhaps you did not mean it but integrated headsets are usually cupless with bearings drop directly into the head tube. These headsets shown have cups so they are for a press fit. I believe these are for straight 44mm ID head tubes, which will not fit an older frame that has a 34mm ID head tube.

They have versions for IS41 and IS42 uppers as well as ZS44.

Upon further review, this will not work. Disregard me.
