Cards or Tigers?

Tiggies in 5. They'd probably do it in 4 but there'll be one of those games where, tied in the bottom of the 9th, Pujols'll smack one out. No, wait a minute. On careful consideration, I'll take the Cards in 5. Yep, Cards in 5. ;) Jeff N.

Having been raised in Saginaw and growing up cheering for Al Kaline, Frank Lary, Don Mosse, Paul Foytack, Charlie "Paw Paw" "Sunday Home Run" Maxwell, Bill Freehan, et all it's pretty hard to cheer against the Tigers.....BUT, also spent one week each summer in the St. Louis area and always planned the trip around 4-5 games/days at Sportsman's Park watching "The Man" and the Cards! About every 30 years or so I get lucky and get them both in the World Series....can't loose! Having said that...."Tiger Baseball Is On The Air!" Da Da Da Da Da da da da da da!

I vacillated between Tigers in 6 or Tigers in 5. I chose Tigers in 6 (at most).

I think Pujols will come alive and the Cards will win in 6.

I mean, look what he just did. . .

I voted with my head, not my heart. Let's now hope that my "Tigers in 6" is as far off as my World Cup pick. (Argentina)

The Redbirds looked (I should say sounded, since I listened to the game on the radio) mighty impressive tonight. So much for all of the so-called experts who had the Tigers rolling over the Cards.

Go Redbirds.

Although I was pulling for the Padres...er,...Tigers..... I thought the Cardinals did a magnificent job, especially Jeff Weaver. They are deserving of the title, "World Champions". Lots of hangovers in St Louis today, I'll bet. Jeff N.

A world championship for the best fans in baseball...things seem right in the world today.

Two years ago, the the Cardinals organization and their fans showed all of us in Red Sox Nation what it is to have class. Two years later, they got exactly what they deserved.

Congratulations to Cardinals fans everywhere, I hope you enjoy the next year as much as we did.

I just saw this and voted - after the fact!

My wife and daughter went downtown for the parade today. I just rode my bike instead... Low 70's and CAVU here today - what weather! I heard that tickets for the stadium show (after the parade today) were going on ebay for ~$500 - that for free tickets if you logged on yesterday and printed them off... Rumor true? I didn't check - was a bit disgusted with professional scalpers and inflated prices. Just like today, thanks to the Barrett-Jackson auction phenomenon, everyone now thinks their old car is worth $200,000 - and that a seat for a single baseball game is worth $2,000. Oh well, my five-year project '73 Corvette runs well and I saw all the games at home on TV...
