So I met with my future frame maker on Saturday this past weekend. Spent 2.5 hours at the shop with him measuring me, measuring my bikes, figuring out what I want, figuring out what I don't know, and just talking bikes. This is going to be awesome and I'm not worried in the least.

Just wanted to put a positive custom story out there. This builder is not in my backyard and it was a bit of a drive but so worth it and so much fun! Obviously, I don't have the frame yet but, based on reputation, I don't think there will be any problems.

Someone who doesn't use disc brakes.

 This should be a good process. Looks like you're off to a nice start. Keep us posted along the way, or upon completion.

You sure? Those look like hydro cable guides...

I may be wrong, but I saw the hole in what I figured was the seatstay bridge and thought it was for the "normal" caliper brakes. I'm not familiar with hydro stuff, so I'll defer to others on that.

Nope! I gots two disc bikes and wouldn't get a groad bike without them but this is a steel road and rim brake is the only way to go!!

:crap:

Ha ha, I somehow missed those. I was looking at the two chock-looking bits to the right and though those were hydro cable guides. Silly me  :D

Sweet! Alliance is awesome. I've never seen a single frame from them I didn't like..

Surprised he didn't have you leave with that complete one he's got up for sale now. May be just a hair small for you I guess.

We had talked about that a bunch previously. He even mocked it up in BikeCAD for my fit. Just decided I wanted some different stuff. The price though - hard to pass!

That's for the rear fender support!
