I'll be the guinea pig. I bought one and I'll let you all know if it's legit. Not much risk at $3.95.

I get Bicycling free through the Performance buyer's club.

I bought a magazine subscription through eBay a couple of years ago and got nothing. Before I bought the seller had quite a bit of positive feedback but that quickly changed to lots of negative and then the seller disappeared. It was the same kind of deal as this: the mags were supposed to arrive after a couple of months. By the time I figured out there would be none eBay told me I had waited too long to complain.

I figure they either had cronies give bogus positive feedback or they actually did order magazines for the first few customers and then ripped off as many folks as they could for 2-3 months.

I stopped subscribing to Bicycling years ago. But it keeps coming, like a relentless wheelsucker you can't shake. Like waking up in your own nightmare and finding out, your in the Bicycling! zone...do-do do-do!

If that's the case, then maybe $3.95 wasn't really a deal?

I bought the $3.95 Bicycling off ebay. It took 75 days to arrive but it came. For some reason I also started receiving Outside magazine. Bicycing is good for about one trip to the bathroom and them it's off to the recycling bin.

I tried the same type gimmick with a deal for Men's Health and have yet to see an issue. Its been almost 9 months. Proceed with caution. Give the $3.95 to your local bike shop for a tube or something and then loiter around there looking at mags, I say. :)

I bought a $3.95 subscription to Bicycling from the "paperdreams" seller on eBay and - though it took a while - I'm getting it. And, Bicycling has improved. I have no problem paying $3.95 especially when ProCycling costs $80 per year.
