Beautiful ride. My favourite Basso paint job too.

Did you get it from a local shop in T.O.?

No, ended up south of the border to get it. Really nice guy in Kentucky. Was a demo model and he was moving it out so I couldn't resist. Carbon has its fans and detractors but this bike feels like it was built with love. I don't deserve it that's for sure.

My brother has none of these, so amazing. Coincidentally he’s selling it.

Yeah, I figured. Are there even any Basso dealers in the city?

It looks like it is a Basso -11 stem.
Short stack? 25mm height means it's not even half-a-pancake away from being no stack at all!

"These go to minus eleven...or even less!" :D

What they call "COMFORT" seems more like "CRUEL", but I guess it is all relative.... :)

It looks like it is a Basso -11 stem.

interesting and smart offering. how many times do we see folks asking about short-stack stem options? this also comes in a 0-deg variant.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. It's got the "comfort" set up and I'm honestly surprised how comfortable it is. Guess I'm more flexible than I thought! I'm putting my Etap group on it - just can't help myself. I've lusted after these framesets for a bit so I'm pretty excited to be riding one.

I love love love this frame, I’ve never seen one in person but I’ve always lusted after one, super jealous!

I've had it out a few times now, no long rides just 30 miles each time but it wants to go. At first I wasn't sure about the Microtech wheelset given that there's not much info out there about them. So far so good; would have preferred tubs but I bought the bike as a demo so it came with clinchers. They spin up nicely - came with 23 but will switch out to 25 soon.

I have a 2004 Basso Diamante that remains my primary road bike. It rides so well that I've been content to just keep it rolling!

Yep, La Bicicleta in Toronto carries Basso. I've actually been in contact with Basso and they've been pretty responsive in offering support, etc.

I'm going to switch out for my etap, otherwise it would be sticking around:)

Thanks and I am torn - there's a solessness to electronic shifting that is undeniable especially in contrast to Campy ... but man, it shifts so good!
