I've been plagued by a squeak on every ride since I started taking my shoe covers off, and finally came to find it's the uppers on my bontrager velocis shoes.

Now, these shoes are a hair big on me, but not so big I feel any slipping, but I do have a little extra room in the toe box which I'm thinking could be contributing. But even without that, I can take the shoe and move the upper around (push in, pull, shift, etc..) and they're definitely the culprit. They're just a squeaky ass shoe.

All that said -- anything I could possibly try to fix it?

Use some talcum powder.
Remove insole- powder both sides of insole, reinstall.
Pour some more powder into the shoe, shake around, put more powder in between tongue and upper or anywhere else where rubbing could make the shoe squeak.
