Does anyone have this yet? Is it ugly in person or shiny and pretty? I'm looking to set up a bike out here for my dad to ride on, and Potenza might just be out of my unemployed budget. Also, how's the shifting?

Shifting is ala Potenza(same shifters, different graphics)..I saw one I think at Vecchio's and it looks a lot like Potenza...Lesser rings, some black on rear der..nice stuff tho for a good, 105-esque, price.

You think the internals are the same? I know that Athena, centaur and veloce shifters had the same guts for a while. I think the cranks are solid whereas the Potenza's are hollow and lighter.

Athena and below, 2015 and after, all have the same shift innards. ‘Looks’, very similar. Potenza and Centaur identical, shifter innards wise.

i have most of a groupset on my new-to-me Foresta. i like the matte black the centaur uses over the gloss black of the potenza.

no real miles on it yet, but by the look and feel of it, i would call it functionally identical to potenza.

the crank is a tank...

Yeah, I think the Potenza Crank is about 100 grams lighter. Thanks for all the info!
