Thinking of seriously giving MTB a shot, and i'd need new shoes. I have been on DMTs since 2011 and swear by them due to the generous toe box (my right foot is a bit wider than the left).

DMT MTB shoes are rather hard to obtain, so i'm looking at alternatives. Competitive Cyclist has Fizik Uomo shoes on sale. Anyone knows how wide these things are?

What I do know is that Diadora shoes don't fit my feet well.

Also, should I size up or down on MTB shoes?

Lake in wide. A lot of us swear by them.

+1. I can't even close an S-works shoe, or a standard Sidi. Lakes in regular width fit great. Haven't tried the wides, but haven't felt the need.
