When I posted about my colonoscopy I received so much helpful input I thought I would try this as well.

Anybody know anyone who has had one? My wife is having one Friday. We have been able to talk to woman who have had the more traditional surgery but none that have had a LSH.

Anyone have insight in recovery time and complications?

one week later she rode 50 miles (on a 1980 Richard Sachs). The minimally invasive surgery left her core muscles ready to get back on the bicycle almost immediately. Hope your wife's surgery was successful. Best of luck.

Pretty common surgery technigue these days-she should recover quite quickly.

I know someone that had this done a few weeks ago. She's exceptionally tough, and was at work (not labor intensive) Thursday, the Op was Monday morn.

This is a much better procedure then the traditional method.

She is still in some pain but overall is doing pretty well. Home the same day! Had this been the old type I think she would have been down and out for weeks.

Why leave the cervix?
