"In its initial year, the Tour of Missouri will be anointed one of the nation’s top three stage races behind the prestigious Tour of Georgia and Tour of California races, providing an historic landmark for the sport with three major domestic stage races on American soil."

I'm looking forward to hearing about the route. Quite often BAM (Bike Across Missouri) routes go right past my subdivision. That would be really neat if they come by here. I could show them a few choice routes.

Party's at my house if they do come by here...

Cool! I grew up near KC and went to college in Columbia (thus the mark of loyalty in my avatar).

RSL,

I grew up on Long Island and went to Mizzou as well. The intended race interests me a great deal.

I don't know Jason. The last post-ride party you claimed you were going to have turned out to be a complete bust...

Has the route been posted somewhere?

Are you sure that's the correct location? Looks empty to me.

Are they having a womens race also? I think that is a Victory Brewing rider on the homepage.

Initially, yes. But like most of us, my career choice changed. Great place to go to school. I've beeen back twice for football games.

The Tour of Utah just got UCI status and the Tour of Mizzou is already trumpin' us for big boy status? I could cry, should cry, but.... I think they will be challenged to find anything to climb that will add up to the 15,000 ft. of climbing we had on the last day of the TOU. Getting tourist stoked on 3.2 beer is an issue however....

Dude, if they head south through the Ozarks there won't be many peak type climbs, but there's tons of steep rolling hills with stupid fast straight line descents.

Missouri has great natural beauty. I hope this turns out great for the state.
