shame to waste an expensive tubeset...
quoted from the builders wife.
"before you go out...make sure you put the hacksaw on the top hook where the kids cant get to it.."
quoted from the builder..." dont worry, i can still use the tubes...will be ok."

Won't that have lost a lot of strength around the bottom bracket? Wouldn't it twist more?

I'm speculating here... but it just looks weird!

the british isles are full of lunatics.
dont believe it? look for a british tricycle race from the 70s.
sorry, makes no sense.
i apologize in advance to anyone who is insulted....like obtuce..who rides one of those frames and will be bitter when reading this.
" torsionally it is a little flexible and under hard acceleration ( like when frtstchnu rides the bike ) it seems unbalanced and under braking it is all over the place... " notes obtuce, wryly, "i think i will be getting the pinarello version next year..."

Condor has some cool bikes in their line.
I saw this one offered for sale on Ebay,
there was one like it at the London show,
for some reason they've changed to an
integrated headset for '07.

Maybe that explains it: wartime material shortages!

And where does one mount the water bottle cage?

No no no - the tubes ARE the water bottle... you just can't see the cammelback fitting on the other side...

you don't pay your 'lectricity bill.

Framebuilding by the braille method. Ouch!

You don't need 'em: you're too embarassed to ride it long enough to even get thirsty! :)

Could it be Obree's new hour bike. :D

all kidding aside.. there is an early attempt at some good ideas just coming into form on this bike. for a bike of that era i think its has an unusually short chainstay.. that's a precursor of things to come. the bi-tubed top tube does resemble the profile of the look 595 and predates the nago bi-oval downtube. looks like an attempt at lateral stiffness with some vert complaince. the tube sizing foreshadows the modern era...

stuff like that.

*trying to see some positives. i'd ride this raher than a trek y-foil any day.
but yeah... ***?

i'm attracted to it. i'd much rather ride that than a whole lotta bikes depicted on this forum. sort of has an upside-down-bike-friday look, as if engineered by the english _ say, have they made it to the moon yet?
