Check out the Llewellyn frame! I love the idea of using a bit of DT spoke as a paint protector where the cable rubs.

Obviously a gorgeous frame and a nicely executed idea...but crossing the cables under the downtube also solves that same paint rub problem without anything being brazed onto the headtube.

There's a Vanilla Touring rig local to me that has a similar detail on the front and rear racks. Every tube on the rack that would touch a pannier has it to protect the finish. Saw it about 10 years ago. I'd like to see how it's held up.

Not a great pic (best I could find), but look close and you'll see it.

why not just place the stops in a better location? interesting idea sure, but necessary? i dont know. i personally like my stops further up toward the head tube to prevent the rub in the first place... some of the lugs out there even have stops on them.

all this said, this is a lovely looking head tube!

Dazza has no competition, only peers.

Check out his chain hangars.

Or his Lucentezza with integrated bosses on the lower head tube lug.

Stainless, hand polished to look as good as a lustrous chrome job.

It is mind blowing. I aspire to have one someday, it's on the bucket list.

+1. None of my buds get this but they are younger and more competitive than this fat 62 yr old. The guy rips his hands to give us these incredible frames. WANT ONE.

Dazza says that he tries to build a frame that his customers appreciate more with every ride.......it's true. I never tire of riding mine and it's the only bike I would insist on replacing if some catastrophe occurred and all my bikes were lost.

If you discount stealth finish protectors there's always random frogs and lingerie.

I am aghast by the exposed headset bolt.

Word!

I knew it'd be about THIS Llewellyn.

I'd trade my road bike and guitars for a chance to spend a week learning from him.
