Currently running a Shimano 9 speed mountain cassette on a DT Swiss 240 hub. I can fit a 10 speed Shimano cassette on the DT hub without modification, right.

All this because I bought new bars.

Yep, no problem.
Shimano road 10 speed cassettes need a small spacer that comes with the cassette.
