For somewhat wacky and specific reasons, I'm trying to find out if this
combo of 9 and 10 speed works together.
Anyone run a 10 speed chain on the back with 9 speed cogs and 9 speed rear derailleur?
Basically, I need to know if you've run a 9 speed rear derailleur/9 shifter with
9 cogs in an otherwise 10 speed drive train.
Campy suggests that the 10 speed chain (being narrower than the 9) "could" get
caught in the pulley cage of the rear 9 speed derailleur. Doesn't sound too likely
to me.
I guess I could also change the 9 sp pulleys to 10 sp? The cage shouldn't care, right?
