I'm not happy with the jerry-rigged contraption with hooks I have in my garage. I need inspiration and ideas to do something different.

What you got?

Depends how pretty you want em. I have a few of the foothill products (http://www.foothillproducts.com/buy/offset-hook)wheel hooks in my bedroom actually. I like them a good bit. I'm sure somebody crafty than I could make some more cheaply from wood and some padding.

Screw long flat hooks into rafters. Hang wheels, tiresetc on them. I dunno. Time honored system. Works pretty well.

I forget which team's service course this is, but I thought these wheel racks were very cool. Probably custom made, but could be made fairly easily (and wouldn't need to be as long...).

In wheelbags and on a hook.

In wheelbags and on a hook.

Ditto, two to four wheels per hook, no ozone/UV issues.

Zipped tightly on a hook, you pesky rodent.

I like keeping the wheels inside where I'll mess with them more often. Just a basic board & hooks:

This is a great idea.

I use a "T" bracket similar to this.

The ones I have are not adjustable and with wheels hanging from them with an 8' ceiling you have to duck to walk under them. This adjustable model looks like an improvement and it appears as though they could be shortened easily to provide that headspace.

You are welcome. I'm glad this thread popped up because I didn't know about those adjustable brackets. I will be going over to a nearby Ace hardware this morning to see if they can be modified. I'm tired of bumping my head on the racks I have now. I also like how they can be mounted at right angles to the supporting floor joist.

You are welcome, rousseau pal. Hope you found one that works for you. For me, I like "cheap, easy to install, use what I already have."
