I hate bikes.

So... I've been off the bike for a while due to playing flippy floppy with a chunk of construction debris... Which has given me time to build three bikes. The most I've ever owned at one time. Being a dad and a frugal(ish) SOB, I started feeling extravagant and feeling like I should N-1. Then I rode home from work. :bike:the bike I was contemplating selling, the Ridley X-Fire disc suddenly started to feel REALLY good... And I had just bought a new Whiskey No7 fork for the Swiss Cross... And the Masi 3v is the sweetest bike I've ever ridden...
I'm doomed. Maybe a second job?

I feel ya... call it "therapy" and just accept the expense. Heck of a lot cheaper than traditional therapy.

I’ve been tempted to get down to two... currently at three. One was my dad’s. I haven’t gotten myself to ride it since his passing. It’s staying in my possession, but it’s memories and art for now.

I just built up a Santa Cruz Stigmata, so sweet! in addition, I have 5 road bikes and all ride great and I'm not looking to thin them down. 2 steel bikes, a Zanc and Ron Cooper with Campy 10, a Serotta Legend Ti, a Scandium Rock Lobster and Time VXSR with the carbon stem! I the Serotta at work and use it for lunch time rides, so I keep 5 at home...and I'm on the lookout for Masi 3V!

Yup, I built up 6 bikes since November and bought 3 complete bikes. I also sold 6 over the same time period. They are all wonderful bikes, but I really should let a few more go. I have 10 total at the moment and 1 frame on the way.

With a baby due in the next few weeks I should probably downsize a bit. I'm pretty sure I am going to have a little less ride time for the next couple of years. 3 bikes sounds way more reasonable.

everyone Talks about the “n”, but no one talks about the “t”.....turns out, there is an inverse proportion of the “t” to the “n” where the “t” refers to time spent riding your bike (s).

As “n” increases you spend more time hunting down the next frame, the next bike, Etc.

Sell them now while you can (to me, if 55-56 :)

Yep that is the one. I doubt you will ever get rid of it so I won't say let me know when you get tired of it. I have seen 2 57cm CSI's on dbay in the last few months. Argghhhhhh.

Same. Sitting here debating which to move to thin the herd. Currently sitting at 10 in various stages. Definitely first world problem but a lot cheaper than classic cars or other expensive hobbies. Plus it's healthy and be shared with SO's and friends.
