A request to those pink bike owners. Would love to see a pink Cannondale! I know they made a batch early on. I've been looking for one awhile now. Seen one on the local Craigslist and made a visit. It was a bit beat up...but had Campy Super Record...and I passed. :crap:

Here's the Cannondale I got from pinkshogun. Still looking for some of the original bits to build it up. 2nd pic is just to show one built up. Not sure where I found that photo.

Glad to help out. I had another that was my first good road bike. When the paint started to bubble I repainted it with leftover paint from my '66 Oldsmobile. Always regretted changing the color but that's what happens when you do things on the cheap. When pinkshogun offered up a duplicate frame I had to have it. Have most of the 6207/6208/6209 parts to duplicate the original bike but have yet to come up with wheels. I foolishly sold the originals here on the forum thinking Wolber T-430s are common, won't be hard to replace. I have 36 hole 6207 hubs, but the bike came with 32 spoke wheels. At this point I'm not so concerned with spoke count but would still like to find the right rims.

Which shade of pink are you leaning t'wards? I have a friend with an IF Club Racer painted pink that is amazing. Another friend had built it up back in the mid 90's. and then passed it along. When it's around it gets all the looks.

It's a small 650B conversion world :)
Yep, clearance in the rear is limited at the chainstays, not the brakes. Before the repaint, Pari-Motos in 38mm juuuust fit. Groody Bros dimpled the stays for me, meaning that I can now comfortably run a true 38mm tire. I haven't tried anything larger, as I also have a SOMA Grand Randonneur for bigger stuff.

Maybe it's because of the Giro, maybe because the tulips are up and spring is here, but every year around this time, I want a pink bike. When I was a kid, I had a Fiori mountain bike that was black with a pink fork. My dad made me get it because it was on sale, precisely because it had a pink fork. He said something about it putting hair on my chest (which was not a priority for a 13 year old) or giving me character (which, again, meant less than zero (shout out to John Hughes who should have directed not Marek Kanievska but I digress)); anyway, it did have the desired effect of making me not care (shout out to dads) and it continues to be a mark of distinction. Shout out to all pink bike owners - love this thread!

Well neither are full on pink but I still consider them my pink bikes. I always take them out with a bright pink jersey and socks on for the heck of it.
First is the Giordana Antares, a sweet riding Italian beast sporting a full Dura Ace 7400 setup with some light Pacenti SL23 rims laced to the Dura Ace hubs.
This is how I looked after I first finished restoring it. Had new decals made up in a Magenta color to match the paint:

The other is this Davidson Impulse I found last summer as a total wreck. Looked all marked up with a missing front wheel, frozen up components, rusted chain, etc. Once I sorted it out I found a beautiful bike underneath. It is very comfortable but fast riding giving me some of my fastest rides of the year until winter hit. Still debating about keeping the Shimano 8 speed setup vs upgrading to something modern.

So finally caught the bug of wanting to upgrade from a 90’s steel bike, I finally decided to upgrade and due to the shortage of bike colors I pulled the trigger on a pink/lilac/purple/clay/whatever! Aethos!
I want to flare it up again and looking for some color inspo. Don’t want to do pink frame + black components. í ½í¸´
