Very cool! At 71 I can see it won't be too long.

So cool

I love it when and old guy on an ebike passes me on a steep hill. I know if not for the ebike he would not even be on that hill, its a great thing seeing them still at it.

My wife and I typically do e-bike tours wherever we go. This was especially nice in Marseille FR which is hilly AF.

One of the hard men of cycling. That's awesome!

They really are a lot of fun too. I took one for a spin a few months back and it was pure joy.

My Dutch buddy, who is bit of a purist when it comes to road bikes, was grinning from ear to ear after I let him ride my e-bike :)

Just a vignette. I was out in La Jolla (Socal) to ride my merlin for 6 weeks this winter. There was an e-bike store right down the block from me. I got talking with them and they were talking about taking groups of tourists on e-bikes on tours up to the Soledad memorial. From La Jolla that's about 3 miles at a 6 to 8 percent grade. Not where you'd normally take tourist cyclists, I thought. Then I realized they had a motor and would zoom right by me on my triple chain ring struggling up the thing at 6 miles and hour.

(FWIW the e-bike place packed my bike for Bikeflights for $40 where the expensive bike shop on the other side of town (rows of $5000 colnagos) wanted $80 to do the same thing ... detach handle bars, pedals and seat post and wrap in bubble wrap).

I'm thinking about getting one for my wife.....she has RA in both knees and multiple surgeries. And still likes to ride as much as she can. Mostly on wide paved trails....which are plentiful around here. An E Bike would extend her range.

They definitely have a place in the cycling world.
