we have 400k on our Jetta 203 TDI SW Manual
Using a great mechanic in SF Gage motors it has keep going but soon time to buy another car So looking now at Passat TDI's
anyone own one and like it

My pal owns a driving school. He had 2 VW diesels with automatics and the transmissions died in both of them with less than 100,000 miles. Are the guys getting very long life from these cars driving stick shift?
