OT-motorheads!! Oil for new beetle

So, I have a quart of Castrol full synthetic oil for my JSW TDI....5w-30, ‘LL03’
Well, the TDI is history....can I use the above oil in my 2000 New Beetle, 2L gas?

According to this Technical Bulletin from VW, no.

If you search for LL03, it only shows up under the Diesel engine category.

You want oil that meets : VW 502 00 / 505 00 / 505 01 spec. Often this is indicated on the bottle.

The oil you have meets : VW 507 00 spec, for cars with DPF.
