Thanks.

It snowed in Michigan today. All sorts of snow...hard corn pellet snow, big fluffy charlie brown snowflake snow. I drove through two mini blizzards on my airport run. No camera, no proof.

oh krap!
I'm sorry.

The cold hand of reality is heading your way.

I can't wait to see the snow scenes with the lone bicycle tire tracks...

I rode 30 miles in said mini-blizzards today. I was fine with the temp and the snow and the wet bike trail. I wasn't fine with the gusting wind. It cut right to the bone! I think I would have been better off jumping into the woods..... I did have the whole bike trail to myself and that was a first!! : )

I love snow but I generally like to ease into it. October?? It's going to be a long winter.....

Yeah, people around here are geeked at the announcement of a mild winter...

Every mild winter I've gone through has been very long, with lots of snow. I like snow. We don't get enough of it here in the D like you do over in GR.

manet, on a typical day, what's the ped/biker traffic like on the bridge? mrs climb used to live in park slope and from her old apt i always wondered about riding to manhattan.

ps: what sort of bag do you use/carry? you ever checked out baileyworks bags? my fav, hands down. especially the super pro.

that would be my old office view. A couple years before 9/11, I would cross that plaza to go to Yips takeout. Anyone ever go to Yips? Chinese, a mountain-load of food, for just under 4 bucks. Roaches were naturally free of charge.

Sorry... nice try, but not those kind of roaches. Thought they were pretty common too.

ped/biker traffic on the bridge is inspiring. heavy traffic. between the tourists and the commuters you need eyes on both sides of your head. and with the WTC pit so close on the manhattan side, i think there's an increase of interest by tourists. weekends mid-day can be crazy. a bell is the ticket on a bicycle. tho' yesterday i was walking from brooklyn hgts. towards the WTC when i took those pix. i SO wish we had a brooklyn bridge on the jersey side.

ps: a twenty year old manhattan storage bag. i love handing it over to people (cops in subway to inspect or caring friends/clients wanting to help) 'cause it's fully loaded wgt. surprises those unsuspecting... i have a gorgeous black leather, with silver snaps, quiver for my 2' level, custom made, a birthday gift from a dear friend. it makes entry into fancy places a lot smoother.

bailey's _ yes i have seen and almost, almost retired mine for a new bailey's. they get it. NH right? there's a bunch others, but one recently like bailey's, maybe from interbike, that had it going on also.

been up to the top of the Empire States Building or out to the Statue of Liberty, I've yet to cross the Brooklyn Bridge, either by foot, bicycle, or automobile.

But it's on my list of "To-do's".
