Sorry if this has been posted before, but I searched and came up with nothing.

Is this an old idea being rolled out again (magnetic suspension wheels) or is it just one of those crazy Interbike gadgets? I seem to remember some hubless wheel designs in the early 90's that quietly faded away, so maybe it's just a shot at pure aesthetics with zero function for somebody's art school project.

I'm just really surprised it doesn't have a Cinelli logo on it somewhere......

The marketing line for the other one was, "No hub, no spokes, no joke folks." I thought that was clever.

This one assumes gains in superconductivity technology. Riiiiiight.

Bingo. In fact, I think this model was done at least 15 years ago.

You'd think they would have a runner by now ;)
