Probably a stupid question...
Just opened a new DA 10 cassette. On the inside of the lockring, there is a very thin metallic tab/ring (not the spacer used on the back of the cassette for 9 speed hubs). Are you supposed to leave this on the lockring when threading it into the freehub??

If it's anything like the one on the 9-speed lockrings, it's sort of a washer and should be left on.

Yes, leave it in place. If you remove it, the serrated edges of the lockring and 1st position cog can bind before you reach proper clamping force on the cassette stack.
