Is there any carbon bar maker that builds a carbon bar that is flared like the salsa cowbell 2? I like the shape but would like a little more drop.

You’re in luck, Salsa just came out with a carbon Cowbell. Call up your local Q dealer.

EDIT: didn’t see the part aboit more drop. Looks like this is the same shape.

The Easton carbon AX is a great bar but has a few more degrees of flair than the Cowbell. As mentioned the cowbell is now available in carbon which is super interesting although I haven’t seen one in person.
Don’t think any of the carbon offerings have a noticeable difference in drop from a cowbell 2.

I personally really like the Easton and have it on my primary bike for 18.

Ritchey EvoMax. I think they make it in carbon.

Ritchey EvoMax. I think they make it in carbon.

The EvoMax and NeoMax are cool because they have a round bend instead of a compact bend. Would like to try a NeoMax.

That said, neither come in carbon, though the WCS version is fairly light at 250g.

I have a Syncros GR1.0 from a Scott Addict Gravel that I’m using on my gravel rig. It’s nice and I got it for a decent price as it was a take off.

+1 on the Easton. Really nice for any type of riding. And comes in wide, which is hard to find in carbon.

Add me to list for the Easton. I tried it out today and like it quite a bit.

I saw that while watching the race. Those seem crazy narrow.

My enve aero road has a 12 degree flair IIRC but widest is 44 in the drops. Not ideal for Gravel’n. The Easton is likely the best option in the market until someone else comes along. 3T has something in the works.

Looks like I will try that easton bar. But I would really look at that bigger 3t SuperGhiaia bar if I could find one. I guess I should have told you in the earlier post that this is not for a gravel bike it is for my road bike. I love to up out of the saddle sprint and those wider flared bars put me in a great position for it for my body.

Good this thread came up, saw the guy at the race aswell and I was wondering about those heandlebars. Wonder if it will be easier to shift that way, my hands at least would be in the wrong position tho, but who knows.

They're track bars.

Those are shaped like my salsa cowbell 2 bars. No problem with shifting in any position as far as I am concerned. I love them, just building up a new to me ti frame and wanted a carbon flared bar for it.
