Ignorance is bliss...right? Well, not exactly. I have an XTR wheelset that I want to use with my 11 sp Ultegra Di2 gravel bike. I didn't realize that I couldn't use a road cassette on an XTR freewheel (yes, yes, I know).

So I'm stuck with this great XTR wheelset, and a bike with Ultegra Di2 mech's.

Is there any hope, and/or what alternatives do I have?

You can use the ultegra 11-34 R8000 11 speed casette which is the only one that fits on 11 speed MTB wheels (which are road 10 spaced).

This also assumes you have the GS ultegra di2 rear derailleur.

That is the short answer. If you want the longer answer do a search because there has been at least one thread about it with more details.

That's a reasonable alternative, providing it plays nice with Di2, which it should.

Yes, I have a GS, and currently running a SRAM 11-36 without issues.

Thanks for the reply!

The cassette should have no issues with di2.

The R8000 Ultegara 11x34 cassette is MTB11/Road10 spaced. All other Ultegra R8000 (and 6800) cassettes are Road11 spaced.
