niceee!

i just hiked around a few ponds in some conservation land near my house, and of course shoveled a good amount of snow.

The woods are incredible during storms like these!

My wife conveniently went on a business trip and I'm home with my 5 year old.

- Clean up the snow and let him run around in it, only to watch it snow enough to re-bury everything.

- Watch too much TV

- Attempt to get work done with laptop

- Go grab electric guitar and let him turn all the effects pedal knobs and hope it doesn't get too loud (that actually kept him busy for a long time!)

No baking yet but I will probably make hot cocoa for him from scratch. (Pretty much the only way I'll drink it.)

I am a little worried about running out of gas for the snowblower but I'm 99% sure I have enough in the tank to do it one more time, and we have less than a foot in the driveway which means no problem getting the Subaru out if we need gas.

YES!! Everything here looks like a black and white photograph.

plan in detail the ambush of all local meteorologists for being wrong so much!

I drove to work a half hour early, expecting the conditions to be slow. Just as I arrived, I received a text message that work was cancelled! So I drove home.

I was hoping that would happen. Or perhaps more correctly, I had made a pact with myself that if work was cancelled, I would do the following rather than surf the 'net all day:

Paint 2 door frames.

Stain a pair of bifold doors.

Okay; now that those tasks are done, I can surf the 'net for the rest of the day!

Disassemble, clean, relube, and reassemble a bunch of fishing reels.

Doesn't look particularly like it outside my window, but spring is really just around the corner.

Here's hopin'

We really did not get hit very hard--and it started as rain and melted at first, then finished as rain. I refused to shovel, and I think I got away with it...

Well, you can always shop online.

Or if you and your SO both happen to be stuck at home,...

Irish car bombs...

We had our neighborhood St. Paddy's day party planned for Saturday, but since we were all staying home due to the storm, we decided to do it today instead.

Like OP but different -- fired up the oven and homemade pizza and a glass of wine with the family. Nice to have my daughter home on spring break...

By hook or by crook, grab your skis and head to magic mountain. Powder days are the best and the bar isn't half bad

Go bouncing through the woods on x-country skis with dog.
It was incredibly beautiful though all the dead fall closed more than a few trails

Not much of a different day for me except was working at home rather than the office and had to fit in shoveling among my regular work. However, I got to have the company of my wife (also working remotely), my dog, and a tasty beverage in the afternoon.
