I know there are other variables when considering this option, but wondering if you have run this setup successfully?

My Whiskey carbon fork looks to have the space and this photo suggests good possibilities.

You absolutely should be able to....but of course where the brake mount is in relation to the rim is the deciding factor. I have one bike which will fit true 32mm tires under a short reach brake since the brake mount was positioned so that the pads are in the bottom of the slot.

Mid-reach as in Shimano R650? I’ve just heard “mid-reach” being referred for two different lengths.

But I’ve fit 35c CX tired in them. 32’s should be no problem.

According to this chart (http://www.bikecalc.com/wheel_size_math), the difference in radius (compared to that WTB Horizon 650x47mm) should be about 3-4mm. The pasela in the second pic looks a lot larger than 28mm (probably 38mm)

are the older Shimano 47-57 BR600. I think they have even more clearance than the newer models.

Unless you have some wonky brake bridge/fork crown geometry, has to work. I have 43mm fenders over 28mm tires under BR600's.

I have fit a 38 under my mid reachers, it was tight, and id not ride it, but it fit. fatty 35s with knobs fit no problem, and as others have said, 32s with fenders also work.

I want to go fatter and softer. Can't wait to go beyond 28mm.

Not 4 Seasons, but I'm running 32mm Gatorskins with BR600's under fenders on my Soma no problem.

They fit easily under my Shimano R650's. Unless your brake pads are bizarrely all the way up at the tops of the slots, you should be fine.

That said, while I'm a general fan on Conti tires, the 32mm 4-Seasons I tried rode harshly and heavily. I wonder if they're a different casing than the smaller sizes.
