I have a Banshee Phantom FS bike that I really like. I think I need bigger gearing and while I am considering buying a new SLX group, I have the FD and F shifter from the current group sitting in a box and realize that converting to 2x10 would be the cheapest way to go, plus get me the biggest gear range, at the sacrifice of adding complexity.

My FD that I have in hand wont fit, so I need a new one. Can anyone advise what FD I am looking for based on this photo?

It is direct mount, but I think it is an E-type?

Thanks for your confirmation.

Here's the two-bolt style that exists:

Is that the only version? It seems that there are a few with the two bolt mounting systems.

going to the (gasp) bike shop would solve that problem no doubt.

I’ve found 11-sp parts are about on par with 10-sp as far as price, and you get a huge range as well.

I'd go 1X11 SLX med or long cage and 11-42 cassette.
