I wonder if they'll allow you to take along your bicycle?

I would imagine they'd have to allow for cargo in some fashion. won't all just be people going from one location to the next for business meetings, taking nothing but a laptop.

but living in the great lakes region, I've always loved how easy it is to get to all these cities within a reasonable time frame. this would make it so much sweeter. assuming it's not as much of a hassle as air travel is...

As one commenter wrote, the Browns will win the Super Bowl before this happens. ;)

Elon Musk went on a rant yesterday about the cost of building infrastructure in the US: https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/968611860407713793.

"Higher safety & environmental requirements & labor costs explain only a small part of the difference. True root cause imo is an exponential growth in bureaucracy & a self-serving private sector consultant industry earning a % on project cost, incenting them to maximize cost."

A hyperloop with a near vacuum in the tube will never be built. It is literally a 100 year old technology that has been and will always be too expensive and dangerous at scale.
