Anyone have any recommendations for a bright rear red light to fit on an aero seatpost?

I have a Felt AR and want to put a light centered on the rear post.

I currently have a Serfas Shield (TL60) i like running, but the band is not big enough. Would be ideal to find something similar in terms of brightness / flash run time / etc.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

The Serfas Orion taillight is superb, bright, and will fit an aero post....and hideously expensive. But its a good one.

My new niterider sentinel came with an aero seat post [inverted] wedge. Run time with the "lane" flash and regular flash is an hour however.

I have a 2d generation Cycliq Fly 6 with an aero seatpost converter that perhaps could use a new home.

FWIW - I've had luck finding a large rubber/synthetic O-ring at the hardware store that would allow me to use the same light on an oversized post.

Cateye Rapid X3 (or 2) with an oring you can get from a bearing shop that will fit your seatpost.

Light and Motion has an adapter for their taillight. I have one and it's very nice. Frankly, the light is more solidly mounted on the aero post than on the round post. I like it.

The Cygolite Hot Rod would probably work and it is a very bright blinkie.

I use a cygolite hotrod on the moderately aero shaped integrated seat mast on my Ridley Helium. Works great.

Happy with my Light and Motion. wedge for aero seatpost with a L and M VIS180 rear light. My friends like the amber light feature when I ride in group too.

saddle mount depending on your saddle is the way to go.
Either 3d printed or something that mounts to the saddle rails and has a go pro type interface to mount your light to.

What saddle are you running? If you have a seat pack, ignore unless you want to fix it to that.

I didn't dig through all the listings here, but this guy might already have a Felt AR offering... but if not, he can design one for you to fit your bike and your desired light.
I reached out to him for a Varia mount for my 3T Strada. I sent him a few pictures and measurements, and two days later he had a full 3d rendering for me and had it placed onto his Shapeways profile for me to order. About 7 days later I got it in the mail... Really impressive stuff!

A Serfas Thunderbolt (https://www.serfas.com/shop/products/lights/utl-6-thunderbolt-usb/) should fit on any aero seatpost, though it may not point straight out the back depending on your STA.

I will mention though that, while the Thunderbolt is very bright, it does not hold a charge for very long; on its brightest flashing mode I can rarely get more than 90, maybe 120 minutes out of a charge. otoh I don't think mine is the latest version, so perhaps they've addressed that shortcoming in the newer models?

Edit: website says 2.5 hours on high flash mode. :::sadface:::

Planet Bike has an aero seatpost mount that works with several of their taillights:
