Just like the sexy smooth lines of a fillet brazed bike, a fillet stem is like the cherry on top. If you have one post it up and let us see it.
I recently picked up this cool 130 Yamaguchi fillet brazed stem from a fellow forum member. I'm going to have it cleaned up and refinished...and then I need to build up a project around it. :)

I love fillet-brazed frames, but....
Are these the latest cycling symbol for vast amounts of highly disposable income? The most elegant one, by far, is the Yamaguchi, which makes a ton of sense. The majority are trying way too hard, in varying degrees of ugly. And the bolts on the Johnny Coast? Give me a break.

.That could be made that way for a reason, such as to attach one of these (https://www.compasscycle.com/shop/components/stems-decaleurs/compass-decaleur/).

I suppose so, but I find that solution particularly inelegant in any case. It seems it could have been done better, while still satisfying the requirements. The angled chunkiness really detracts from the fillet-flow.

Fillet brazed had me all hot and then I gave bi-laminate a look and...well **** I don't know what to think anymore...
That being said, I think a custom stem is a no brainer if you're doing a custom bike. Why the hell not!
