i had major 'puter problems 2 weeks ago and possibly
lost all the info on my never-ever-backed-up hard drive.
i ended up getting a new rig and sent the old hard drive
to www.drivesavers.com for salvage.

in the meantime - i'm working some uptown hours and
also enjoying a new mount. i'm also getting ready to drive
with p weigle to dale brown's cirque next week for a real
gathering of house-bound sycophants with classic bike
obsessions; ya' know: masi. hetchins. nuovo record.
wool. leather. i'll be there shortsheeting the beds of any
francophile that admits to a peugeot jones plus conde-
scending to anyone who insists that lance could win the
tour on a schwinn paramount.
i'll also be outing - (shhhh. commercial announcement
to follow...) - this:

i can't speak for the whereabouts of jerk or novo.
all i know is that i've never seen them both in the
same place at the same time. hmmmmmmm.

e-RICHIE who says, "Doooooode. It's a F(^&%#@) Dell."

Those sure are purty! :-)

BTW, go grab a copy of Acronis TrueImage. Painless backups including your Windows partition (assuming you use Windows)...

dnovo is buried playing lawyer again. At least there is light at the end of the tunnel at least. My daughter is finishing up here first year of law school and will be clerking on our Supreme Court this summer. I figure another two years of school, a couple of years as a judicial clerk, about five making a lot of money and learning the ropes at another firm, and then she can take over my firm. My son should be done about that time to, and then I can retire.

Hope I will be able to make it from my walker to my bike at that age, but what the hell, work IS a four letter word.

Dave (buried in transcripts and cross-motions) N.

Oh Richie, how is my frame coming?

e-Richie - go Mac and you will never look back. If driversavers can't recover your data, let me know. I think I can probably help.

dnovo congrats on your daughter and clerkship.

e-richie mentioned he's toolin' around on a new mount. assuming he hasn't been added to mt. rushmore (yet) i assume he's referring to his new bike. all i was able to get out of him about it was--it's the first frame he's built for his own self that has his own lugs! talk about the cobbler's child going barefoot! but i for one am curious as h*ll about what sort of frame he'd build his own self. maybe if we all bug him, he'll actually devulge more. come on, richie, open up!!!!! or at least post a pix of it!!!!! ;)

Climb90210,

My lugs have only been available for 18 months. In the
meantime I was riding my 'cross bicycle.
The new ride is tutto Dedaccai Zero main tubes w/ Zero
Uno chainstays & forks. Fully 2004 Campagnolo Record
parts - carbon wherever possible. I betcha' this is 17lbs
of Red Heaven.
If only it fit Novo-issimo. I could leave the keys in and
he could push it around once a week. But he better clean
the ashtrays before parking it back here.

my next question for richie is--
did you put yourself on your own list and wait two years for you to build you a frame?
