Hi...

I know cane creek has 2 versions of their hubs and they arent compatible, and campagnolo freehub bodies for any version of the hubs is pretty much imposible, so anybody sucessfully transplanted a campagnolo freehub body from another brand into a cane creek wheelset like the volos for example?

After further investigation the version 2 of the cane creek hubs use a shimano made freehub body, no wonder never seen a campagnolo freehub body of those...

Anybody has done a transplant in a shimano made wheel???

At the time Cane Creek sold their wheel business (and designs/tooling) to 3T, they were on their version 3.0 hubs; those were barrel-shaped.

3T's early wheels used those same hubs (like Mercurio 40 LTD with MultiSys freehub compatibility) but they now seem to have evolved into something else.

Perhaps contact a 3T distributor for older spares if trolling eBay (or euro ebay) gets you nowhere.

Those CC wheels were pretty nice and I still run a couple of (Shimano) sets.

I ran Campy 10spd with spacers on my Cane Creek Shimano wheels on my Spot cross bike around 2000-2002? Sorry I can’t remeber the name of the model of wheels. Michael and Jessica at Spot set it up for me.

Mr. Ultraman

I know this isn't classifieds but...

I have a pair of Volos XL with a Campy free hub, which I got here a while ago. Maybe that could help with your problem? (Trying to get a couple pairs out of the shed this spring)

PM me if so

John

I worked for the guy who invented the original wheel, and we were sent prototype 3T wheels - there isn't any compatibility between any of the various brands and incarnations. The best anyone can do is adapter cassettes.
