Very nice, but somehow I have a hard time believing it weighs 16.5 lbs as shown.

If my wife saw that, said she loved it, and would actually ride it? It would be her Valentine’s Day present.

My wife use to ride.......

Sigh

Change the bars, stem and seatpost to Ritchey Super Logic and cut 150+ grams off of the bike.

Yes, maybe on the Moon in reduced gravity!

Why? My steel road bike is 16.5lbs without much carbon on it. Weight is w/o pedals of course.

I don’t think a bike like that needs to be weight weenie’d out.

I would like to buy one of their scales

There is nothing weight weenie about this build. I would expect maybe a Cannondale Supersix frame to get there, but there is no way a Ritchey steel frame with SRAM Force group and alloy bits will be under 16.5 lbs.

Here is a build that gets there (http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=146457). SRAM Red, Roval carbon wheels, light carbon bar and seatpost. Granted that build includes cages and pedals, but there is more than 2 lbs of weight savings elsewhere.

I don't find the weight as pictured to be hard to believe.

When I had my 57cm Lemond built up with Force 22, ~1550g handbuilts, and the same cockpit, it weighed 18.5 lbs - with cages and pedals.

-This bike frame is way smaller than mine
-The Ritchey frame tubing is super light
-Force 22 is super light
-Those wheels only weigh 1444g
-No cages or pedals

I don't know if the weight is believable or not...but when I built up a 90's Pinarello with ELOS and a full Campy Athena 11 groupset with Ritchey cockpet...it weighed 18lbs.
Maybe a more recent modern frame like this Ritchey could weigh 2lbs less??

This is correct. I almost bought a set of rims off there the other day. would have build a 20/24 aluminum/carbon wheelset but decided I had other priorities and lots of wheels already.

This thing sure is pretty. If it were their largest size, I'd consider it for myself
