Mixed surface. gravel/asphalt. kid hauling, big volume. The obvious choice is Rat trap pass Ive got a new set coming but want to try another set on a different bike 2.35 max width

considering kenda small block 8

but what are other semi slick preferably in the 120 tpi Ive done the google search but looking for opinions here.

thanks PL

i rode these Vittoria Evolution G+ tires for a little while on my Bridgestone before i swapped to the rat traps. i admittedly had very few miles on them, but they were a pretty nice tire for decent$

Based on your requirements :

Schwalbe Marathon or Big Apple or Continental Town&Country

I'm happy with the Kenda K-Rads for kid-hauling. Half the TPI you want, though.

I like Continental "Town and Country".

Plus one for the Town and Country. They don't have the thread count you're interested in but are the least flat prone tire I've ever used. My last pair survived seven years of hauling a Burly, running errands, and riding gravel around Boulder without a single puncture.

Another vote for the Schwalbe Marathons or the BA - killer high volume tires.

Big Apples -- fat, plush, fun!

Soooo.. lets add tubeless to the mix lol and that seriously limits you. again I have the rat traps coming and I can run another set w tubes so no big deal. was hoping for folding bead and at min 60 tpi good stuff thanks all who have contributed.

Big apples have my curiosity for sure.

On my 26er Waltworks gravel/trail conversion machine, I use conti race kings. They are nice and supple and roll very well on pavement and trail. I've used this setup for kid hauling too.

just had the lbs order me a set of dth 26x2.15 skin walls. it will be interesting to see how these feel. the tread is not something i gravitate to but ya never know.. i'll probably try most of these at some point so thanks and keep them coming for others.. the 26'er isn't dead yet :)

Panaracer Pasela. Available in 1.5 and 1.75" widths; wire bead (https://www.panaracer.com/lineup/urban_touring.html) or folding (https://www.panaracer.com/lineup/urban_touring.html).

I really like the Serfas Drifter Survivor tires.

They come in a 1.5" width, which I prefer over the wider Continentals. They also have nice flat protection, but aren't fantastically heavy and dead feeling like the Schwalbe Supremes. I also enjoy the inverted tread in the winter - I've never had issues with traction. For a 26" commuter, I find them pretty perfect.
