Ultegra 6800 chain, master link?

I'm breaking down the X-Fire to address the Shimano infestation and couldn't find a master link on the ultegra 11 speed chain. Does it come with one?

Nope. ...but the new new D/A chains do.

The Ultegras will probably start shipping w the link 'soon.'

Yeah, they come with it. You have to specify which you'd want tho. Cause they still offer the chain with the pin.

Yeah, usually you can find the Shimano connecting pin that was used to put it together. Break it some other place and use a KMC link. Done.

Done. One 6800 group off. Now to polish and sprinkle with rosewater in prep for the Campy install.

Adding to the confusion of mid-product-cycle changes....

"CN-6800" was the original, pin-only, chain that shipped with the 6800 group
"HG-700" pin-only came later in the 6800 cycle

I believe the "HG-701" pin and link versions shipped with R8000

They are all cross compatible but it does not make it easy when someone refers to "Ultegra 11 speed" or "6800" or "R8000" chain. It is probably best to refer to the actual model name/number (if known).

I use a 11 speed Connex link on the my wife’s bike that is equipped with 11 spd Ultegra.
