Looking around for a gravel road tire, as wide as possible. Only thing I've found that's in the running is Kenda KrossCyclo, listed as 37 mm wide and 402 g. at Universal. There is a 27" Pasela, but only 1 1/4", and Paselas tend to measure on the narrow side at least in 700c. 1 3/8" is only 35 mm, so I'm a bit leery of trusting Universal's 37 mm spec for the Kendas. Anyone tried them? Any other options out there?

I used that Kenda in 700x35 for a while and on A23s they measured right at 35mm.

My Michelin World Tours are labeled 27 x 1 1/4" but are wider than other tires in this size. They do not roll as fast as Paselas.

Matches my experience with 700C Michelins, generally run a bit bigger than nominal size. Will have to search for them and see if they make it in 1 3/8".

This is along the lines of what I'm looking for:

I have the 'new' tread pattern 27 x 1-1/4" tires on my two 80's loaded touring bikes.(same tread as the 700c tires now) and they work well.

After buying some Kendas and finding that their1 3/8" K161 knobby is barely 28 mm wide, I'm wishing I'd gone with the Panaracers.
