Way OT: Gran Turismo Sport

Way off topic, but less so than perhaps first glance.

Anybody here play Gran Turismo Sport?

I've uploaded a pile of cycling themed decals (https://www.gran-turismo.com/us/gtsport/user/profile/1346444/gallery/decal) to be added to any car you drive in game. They're most all searchable, but I think you can download them to your game directly from this link?

I've also made a few liveries, including a Campagnolo VW Bus (https://s3.amazonaws.com/gt7sp-prod/photo/60/57/81/5918372093958815760_0.jpg), and a pile of random vehicles like this Bianchi/general italian (&Other fancy bits) themed Alfa (https://s3.amazonaws.com/gt7sp-prod/livery/88/10/45/8512376219152451088_23.jpg)

Anybody else enjoy the game/make bike related stuff on it?

I have not yet gotten around to it, but I have saved the paceline logo from the top, and will grab the banana to make paceline decals and a car livery or two.

I have both. I use the VR headset quite a bit, mostly for Skyrim VR. That's totally incredible. GTSport is very good in VR, but limited. In vr mode you can walk around cars, or race just one opponent in very short races with a very dumb AI operating the opponent. But still super cool. Driving the Kart around is insane.

Even not in VR mode the headset can display whatever is on the TV in a gigantic field of view filling way, which is very good and immersive still.

I have made a paceline graphic (actually had to split it into two) and the banana. They're uploaded in the game, but haven't shared them there, yet. Will update with tags with which to find them.


Also working on graphics on a Paceline Toyota 2000GT w/ Campagnolo decals and a few other...maybe Lightweight, White Industries?

Do you have any insight into how some of those uploaded decals I see are so detailed? I get that you can't start with a jpeg or png without going way over 15k. I see decals that looks really complex these days.

You gave me the idea to make the samba bus into replica of old Campagnolo support vehicles of the past. The white ones with WC stripes on them (Buick wagon).

I don't. There are some people on /r/granturismo who seem to pull it off, but I don't understand it. I had to split the logo up at the top here into halves (and totally ditch the bikes for now) to get it under. I even have files that claim to be 4-5k and they get booted by the uploader. I know some people do them in many many sections. Honestly not sure.

That's what inspired me to do that with the van in the pictures above...too many windows on the Samba in game to do it right, I feel.

They really are. On the scaled down graphics of the PSVR headset, they're about on par with Ps3....on a nice TV they're insanely good.

I play on an OG ps4 with a 1080p TV most of the time. Totally great.
