Not really sure how this happened but dropped my chain today when starting in motion at a stoplight and this happened. Any small parts I can purchase to fix or is it a new FD? Please no "you bike is so dirty" comments.

I think the fix is a Chorus derailuer with a metal cage.

They may have the cage part(s) you need. Although it may be cheaper to find a used derailleur.

Can't see the picture but I assume you broke the cage. I did the same on my SR FD a couple of years ago. You can buy the cage separately but it was more $ than buying a complete new FD. I managed to find a NOS in the matching white label on close out from Art's Cyclery.

Hmm uploaded fine my wife’s Mac (I hav no idea how to work it). I can see the pic on the posting. Will work on it...

Anywho, the price connecting the cages broke off. Looks like the carbon is fine...

They don’t, can’t see the picture but the plastic bridge at back? Not a small part. Toasted der with that intact or Chorus(all metal)..

They don’t, can’t see the picture but the plastic bridge at back? Not a small part. Toasted der with that intact or Chorus(all metal)..

As noted above, the small plastic bridge was never available as a spare part.

There are 3 or 4 possible fixes:

New 2015+ RE FD and LH lever body.
The 2015+ versions of the FD have a carbon wraparound at this point, removing the possible point of failure that had existed in Record and Super Record 10 and 11s cages for a while. Ideally you'd need the LH lever body as the cable recovery in the lever is different for pre-2015 and post-2015 levers - you can get the "pre-" body to work but it's not as slick in use and puts a lot of extra stress onto the upshift lever.

As above but Chorus - again, the alloy cage is wrap-around .... it never had this problem and the wrap-around cage gives really good rigidity. If used with the correct lever body controls the chain more effectively than it's predecessor, especially on compact rings on downshift.

New cage FD-SR015
May be dearer than sourcing a whole new FD of the correct year (the FDs are available as a spare part, not as a normal "stock" item but Branford Bikes et al in the USA should have access to these spares, see last option below).

New cage FD-CH301
Could be a good, fractionally lower cost, option.
In both this and the case above, the tricky bit is re-anchoring the spring that drives the FD cage outwards - tricky without the correct tooling but do-able with persistence & care.

New FD pre-2015 complete
FD-11RE2BSP or FD-11CH2BSP
As others have noted above, the Chorus cage sometimes represents the best option as there is no bridge, it's a full alloy cage.

I know GFK will not like this but I don't work for the 'company'..a 2015+ front der will work fine with your setup..no need for a LH shifter. Any of them..BUT I think a older Chorus fder is the best bet..

I still wish Campy sold the plastic tab/bridge thing that broke on my SR FD that I still have in hopes of one someday appearing. For now, the Record FD I replaced it with is holding together. I had to look into all of this a few years ago.

Yes.

If this is me and I use shimano by the way , I would and could totally fix it myself.

Not solely because to save money but simply I can and confident that the fix will work.

I picked up a spare used FD here cheap for parts when my SR one broke. Yes, now I have a spare FD without that piece, but it was cheap. Run a WTB.

...either change the cage to Chorus (easy fix) or try this clever and clean McGyver fix: http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=149729&sid=a425c67a276f8be8d93c4d88c7110528

How hard would it be to put this cage (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Campagnolo-Record-11spd-Front-derailleur-Cage-for-parts/323005897595?hash=item4b34a6db7b:g:g3EAAOSwIk9aXiy h) on? How do you pop the little tabs off that hold the pins?

I bought it - for $17 bucks hoping I can fix it.

Any tutorials or guidance on the matter? Fingers crossed as I do like the way the silver bits of record look on my bike...

Easy to get it off, but put a tube or something on the spring end so you can get it out of the way when you put cage on, keeping the spring tightened. Wee ‘c’ clips hold it on...or get your welder out and weld it like some shimaNO ones.

It should be mentioned that unlike shimaNO, all Campag cages fit onto any front der assembly, rather than unique each...’pal’

This exact same some happened to my neighbors bike. His record 10 FD just fell apart like this.

Depends a lot on the lever. The older pre 2015 levers were more variable in the clutches, some will hold the FD fully out on the big ring better than others.

The cable bushing recovers gear cable at a different rate in the 2015+ levers which also aids set up with the 2015+ FDs - it's possible to set the 3 clicks small to big relationship on the older levers with the newer FDs but it's a trickier proposition.

Hence the suggestion to go with the new levers where adjustments have been made and function will be "to spec" rather than simply "working" ...

Alls well that ends well, but for what looks like it should be so simple... it can take some time/patience.

It will, an otherwise 10s FD will work until 12s Campagnolo but not really with 'PowerShift', which is more 'positional' ala shimano.
