BillyBear, nice to meet you tonight, sorry we didn't get a chance to chat more. That's the first time I've done the CRW Weds night ride, but I'll probably do it again. Maybe we'll see Climb out there someday?
Some guy on a Serotta "TG" joined about 8 miles out (on Glen Street), but wasn't too sociable. He attacked going up a short but steep hill (Bridge St) and was off the front for a long time, until the group leader got the pace line reorganized and we chased him down. He gave the group leader some noise about sucking wheel, so the group leader responded with a few choice words about joining a group ride in the middle and then riding alone. High drama! :)
There was a kid (and I mean a _kid_, like 21 at the most) in the group who was just amazing. We finished up the 29 and change at 19.4 avg., it would have been faster but we spent a fair amount of time diddling around for various reasons.
Good ride overall. :beer:
