WHY do so many used headsets

get sold without a top cap?

I see it all the time, seemingly with Kings more than others (admittedly, I usually only buy King) but I cannot understand it.

Thoughts?

So anyone using a custom cap tosses the original cap in the trash? Odd

Somebody's basement has all the top caps and skewers that everyone else gets rid of. I can see it now, Hoarders (http://www.aetv.com/shows/hoarders) - Bike Edition.

That's what I mean, although I did pick up a few nice ones separate of their other parts recently LOL

Not sure. I have a big bin filled with them. But it's usually cause we switch out the originals with our own- if the client wants of course. But every headset i've sold has always come with the top caps.
