I've been bicycle commuting a 1-2 times a week from NJ into NYC, but the mrs. does not like me cycling in the dark. So that cancels a lot of fall and winter commuting.

Does anyone know a place to park a car (where I won't get a ticket or towed) outside the GWB in Fort Lee/Englewood area? From there I can cycle in because the city is generally well lit in the evening.

Thanks!

A slight possibility are shopping centers. There's a huge Japanese supermarket in Edgewater on River Road -- south of the GWB. You could grind up from there to the GWB bike / pedestrian entrance.

Try the Kamson Corporation (Realitors)
270 Sylvan Ave
201 871 1055
Right next to the Palisade Pk. about 5 min from bridge.
They have a fairly large parking lot and I believe the ground floor is vacant (I used to work in the vacant space) so you might try making an arrangement to park there. There are also one or two small office buildings further north with low occupancy - you could stop and ask.
I believe most of Fort Lee is resident permit only.
And do be careful of the Japanese Supermarket in Edgewater - they tow cars!

Edgewater is too far south for me because of rush hour traffic, but I will try out the place in Englewood Cliffs. That would be perfect.

Thanks!
