Agree, I wonder if it makes snow riding much easier? I would think so but no real world experience to back that up.

Nope. Front end floation isn’t the issue, it’s rear end float and traction. This doesn’t improve on a fatbike for most situations. I’d still try it for fun though!

I've talked with Brooke (the founder/inventor) at several of the fatbike events around Vermont in the past few years. He's a really clever dude and a good rider. I've had the opportunity to ride a couple of the earlier prototypes. Like some folks here have pointed out, the conditions need to be pretty specific for the ski to win over a normal wheel with the right tread pattern. When it's warm and there's a greasy couple inches of snow on top the ski really does descend singletrack much faster. I totally recommend trying it out if you get a chance, it's pretty fun. But I'll be sticking to my wheels.
