Alright, currently shopping for a new jersey wallet/pouch. Needs to hold iPhone SE, 1 tube, CO2, small wallet, and multi tool. No saddle bags, post your favorite jersey pocket wallet and why. Pics would be fantastic of it holding your stuff.

Currently have a Sticky Pod (Large) but it is too big and clumsly, zipper sucks, and no good place for my phone.

i like the original rapha essentials pouch, but i dont keep my phone in it. having a waterproof phone has made things a lot simpler. throw it in the back pocket and it's ready to take a photo or check a text at a moments notice. i keep it packed and never open it unless i need to use something inside. i keep a spare tube, mini tool, mini-leatherman, spoke key tire levers and a park mini patch kit inside. works out perfectly for me.

I run with two. On one side, worn out Rapha essentials thing. Works good for bike stuff. Other side, Silca phone wallet thing for my phone, personal stuff and a small snack or whatever.

I still use the ziplock baggie for my phone but also use the Silca dealio for tube/levers.money/inflator, etc and it's been great. I have a fair amount in there but not as much as they show in the online photos lol

Zip lock works well for me.

Phone, 1 credit card, License, with some cash wrapped around and held with elastic, plus any small bits.

Tubes and bigger stuff just go in loose.

Just recently picked up this Silca Borsa wallet for 50% off. Nicely made abd a PERFECT fit for my Samsung S7 with credit card, ID, slimline glasses, etc. Fits in the jersey pockert just right. Too small for CO2 and tube, but for what I need, this is a nice piece of kit.

On second thought: take the phone out and I'll bet you could get what you need in there....

I have one of these. My Pixel 1 XL fits in the normal phone pouch, anything bigger would need the phablet pouch.

Waterfield designs from San Fran. If I wasn’t traveling I’d show it. Every thing fits including iPhone which you don’t have to take out to use...levers, Allen keys, tube (or 2 23 tubes), chaintool and link, CO2 cartridge and head, latex gloves if you use white bar tape. Use Rapha essentials if you carry phone separately and don’t need gloves.

This is the link to it. Can't say enough good things about what it holds and the design and quality of it....https://www.sfbags.com/collections/cycling-accessories/products/cycling-ride-pouch#tab=Specifications

My real (and really old) wallet is called "Body Billfold" and is amazingly thin but for any wad of cash it carries. It goes on every ride.
That's in my right jersey pocket.

My left jersey pocket has my keychain with possibly the worlds' lightest screwdriver (a cable retainer bridge, lol) on the chain.
Also the world's lightest chainbreaker/multitool (Finish Line Chain Pup) and world's lightest 4" Crescent wrench (1970's model) for use mainly with vintage bikes (these tools weigh under 30g each).
A gel pack and energy bar (optional) also go in my left pocket.

My middle jersey pocket has the world's lightest pump at 39g, together with a spare lightweight tube or two, a tire iron and usually a redundant Allen key or two. I have to rubber-band the tube to the pump to keep the carbon Sub40 pump from floating/flying out of my pocket.

I use pockets instead of seat bags so I don't have to remember to put a bag on the bike I am heading out on.

No doubt! Phone in one pocket, ID, cash and credit card in a little pouch in another pocket with Hutchinson Fast'Air strapped to the underside of my seat. Left over pocket space is used for food. I may get stranded (knock on wood...not yet), but if I do, I love an adventure :)

those are the right things to carry but if you hit the deck the metal bits will likely make things much worse for you.

get a silca seat roll premio or jandd mini mtn wedge and keep it near your helmet...

No saddle bags, post your favorite jersey pocket wallet and why.

Zip lock freezer bag for three reasons.

1. Sweat proof
2. Freezer bag is thicker plastic and better zipper
3. Everything else is just a purse

when I use a jersey pocket to carry my repair kit, I use the Rapha essentials bag. holds tube, multitool, patches, tire lever. frame pump goes on the bike or mini-pump in pocket. phone goes in ziploc or just directly in pocket (depending on weather). I prefer not having everything in one giant pouch; better to distribute the weight, and it's more flexible if you need to pack layers/food. and this way, I can look at phone when I need to without having to open the pouch up. basically the essentials case only gets opened if I have a bike issue.

one issue with the essentials case is the zipper eventually gets corroded from sweat and difficult to zip. at which point I'll hit it with WD40, then clean it with dish soap so I'm not getting WD40 on my jerseys. the other issue is that you can sweat through it. I recently got the waterproof one though, and am anxious to give it a shot.

the zipper is metal. get a candle and rub both sides of the zipper along the candle. the wax makes the zip run buttery smooth and wont get on anything. i had to do this to mine also.

I carry the Silca eolo wallet. Carry an extra tube and pocket pump. I use a Jersey-Bin phone case which is just a heavy duty zip lock bag. Tony

I use this to carry a tube, levers, inflator and two cartridges. It'll hold my phone but I prefer to carry my phone in a separate wallet along with my ID and a $20 bill in this:

In general, I agree with Paul.

I don't have the luxury of lots of bikes to choose from, which would be the one use case I think, that would justify a jersey pocket wallet in lieu of a saddle bag.

I think I'd like to keep all the metal/bulky stuff off my body and in a protective bag that is not near me if I wreck. Phone, cash, etc seems ok for a wallet, giving you enough other pocket storage for nutrition.

Well after a week of measuring and searching the web for a alternative I tried this external hard drive case out from amazon for $10.99 I ended up cutting out the center divider and it has worked well. Full review and pics below.

Overall it's nice, more compact, and cheaper than some alternatives. Fits in a standard jersey pocket nicely and has nice organization inside. Fully loaded it is in comparable in thickness to my older sticky pod. Has an easy access pocket on the outside that fits my iPhone SE nicely and the zippers are higher quality than I expected. For $11 I'll give it a go, and if it doesn't work out I'll use it to hold my external hard drive in storage.

Pics!

looks pretty solid. worth trying for $11.

gotta ask: one co2? I'm usually a frame pump guy but if I did co2, I'm not sure I trust myself and the cartridges enough to only bring one. unless you usually ride in groups, I guess.

This is not going to surprise anyone but I just got one of those waterproof Rapha essentials cases, I had wanted one for a long time but was convinced that they were hipster manbags (the bike equivalent)...needless to say I really like it. It's smaller than the rubber band ball of stuff method I was using and easy to grab. Plus, my pile of bike stuff is looking more and more "metro" which is good for the CFO/interior design principal's taste :) (our bathroom looks like a boutique!)

I can't get more than a $20, a tube, CO2, and a tire lever in there. Since it's so slim, I think I can get a mini-tool in there too. That's pretty cool.

The hard drive case looks like the way to go.

I'll post a pic of mine later tonight, but I have two from the Soulrun. They're on Etsy, but do mostly one-offs at this point since they have day jobs too.

Had their regular pocket wallet, but asked Laura make me a custom one that's bigger to fit my huge Samsung S7 edge plus stuff. It's perfect and plenty awesome.

Well after a week of measuring and searching the web for a alternative \

I guess I did miss something, " it is too big and clumsy, zipper sucks, and no good place for phone", so it's mostly a quality issue, because I'm not seeing the size as an issue. I like the fact that it sticks out of the top of the pocket so it give a good place to grab, plus it's a bit thinner. You can't place the phone in the middle and zip it up? I'm asking because I want to get something, so I'm playing the devils advocate.

I use the Strawfoot ride wallet in their standard size. It seems to be pretty similar to some other options posted on this thread.

I can fit an iPhone 6s with a case, small multitool, tire levers, patch kit and a few other small items with room to spare. For bigger phones/more items, they offer a custom size option on the website for $5 more.

Been using it for a few years with no complaints. Good material, great zipper, internal pocket to keep my phone away from other stuff, and a small loop to get it out of your pocket easier. I got orange for better visibility of the items inside (and so I don't loose it on my workbench).
