I saw this on CL and wondered if anyone here might know anything about it. It's small, and thought maybe that could give some indication of provenance.

It’s got the number tab so probably real / not a replica.

No way to tell if it was team issue (race ridden) or team related without more information

Makes sense that he requests "NO BALLERS." It is a pretty small frame...

I know Davis rode 52/54 and I believe Heiden did too.

I can’t remember anyone that small actually racing for the team.

Even for Rebecca Twigg, looks a little small. Maybe Bunki Bankaitis?

Seriously? He is 6'1" and as I recall long legged. He would need a fairly long stem with a 50, even a 54.

For some reason I thought Heiden’s bikes were some of the smaller ones.

From what I recall, most team bikes were 56 and up.

Huffy was the bike sponsor for only 87 and 88 so check rosters from that timeframe.

I love that he said Go Dubs! That's funny.

BKRaúl Alcalá wasn't very tall....but this might be even too small for him

Nathan Dahlberg? Some photos of him floating around on rather small frames.

Maybe but I don't think the poster bike is a Huffy. Might be from '89.

Definitely not Gomer's* - he was a big boy. Probably rode a 56 or 58. Sure looks like an early team bike, though. Cool.

* Heiden...

Not a chance, Heiden was 6' + and Phinney was just under 5'8".
That there is one tiny frame :eek:

He was on the team during the Huffy years. There isn't a great picture of any of his bikes from that era (and the ones that pop up look bigger than the listed bike) but that Trek looks in the ballpark. It's possible he experimented a bit?
