Does anyone know of a great site to order Assos clothing? A site that has a broad clothing selection, e.g., elementOne jerseys, SL longsleeve under garments and earlyWinter gloves, and if possible reasonable pricing. ;)

Terry --

I've had good luck with Chicagoland Bicycle (cbike.com) (http://www.cbike.com/assos.htm), World Cycling Productions (http://www.worldcycling.com/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=WCP&Category_Code=FAssos), Cycle Fixx (http://www.cyclefixx.com/products.php?cat=44), and tta_mem (seller ID from Israel) on eBay.

You should always be able to get at least 15% off the list price. If they show the current retail; send an email and ask for their best price. Also be sure you are getting the latest products - read the descriptions carefully and compare with the Assos web pages. Some retailers will advertise last year's styles and fabrics at current prices.

Good luck. Jim B.

Licktons Bike store. Ask for Bob (owner) He's a bit rough, but he always has a great supply on hand. And, he gives nice discounts.

I believe its Lickbike.com

I'm not sure this is true. I ride in Southern Germany (including the ride around the Bodensee -- Germany, Austria, and Switzerland -- earlier this month) and I find that most of the serious long distance riders are wearing Assos shorts. YMMV. Have a good ride...

Not when I lived and rode there from 1991-1996.

The small roadie shops all carried Assos.

I saw much more there than I do in the States.

Well, in Germany shops seem to sell nothing but Assos.

Castelli, Bergamo, Exte Ondo are relatively difficult to find, and those are the brands I prefer :crap: :crap:

Assos kity totally rocks. Other than the item that everyone loves most, the shorts. I am nearly 6'5" and have very long femurs and the shorter cut legs are like hot pants on me. I go for longer Pearl Izumi and Descente, both of which are excellent. Everything else is Assos. I am tall and lean so the snug fit works and nothing comes within a million miles style wise.
